ESA-NCB Recognition Award in Entomology
This award recognizes entomologists who have made significant contributions to agriculture through the field of entomology. The recipient will also receive an inscribed plaque, presented at the North Central Branch Meeting.
Eligibility
The nominee must have contributed significantly to agricultural advancement through the field of entomology and be a current or recent North Central Branch member.
Nomination Process
The submission of nominations must be made electronically (MS Word file or PDF) to the NCB National ESA Awards Chair.
The nomination package must include:
- Name, address, phone number, and e-mail address of nominee
- A nomination letter describing the work on which the nomination is based
- Biographical sketch of the nominee
- List of published papers and/or patents
- Letters of recommendation that evaluate and appraise the nominee's accomplishments, placing special emphasis on work done during the preceding five-year period.
Deadline
Nomination packages must be received by the NCB National Awards Committee Chair by December 31.
Renomination
Any candidate nominated, but not selected, may be renominated by the Awards Committee. Renominations will follow the guidelines prescribed by the ESA National Office.
Notification
The NCB Awards Committee Chair or NCB President will notify all candidates and their nominators with the results of their nomination.
